![]() ![]() He kept trying to be this perfect husband and father, denying his natural instincts, and the only result was pain. ![]() He accepts that the biggest mistake in Season 4 was not killing Trinity, when he had the chance. It's really disappointing, Dexter was a great show and could have been one of the absolute best in my opinion but it seemed like the writers didn't really have a plan at all.ĭexter should have chosen one of two paths after Season 4: But instead they just got Dexter a new girlfriend, set up some new bad guys for Dexter to track and kill, and contiune the season like nothing major ever happend in the season before. I thought the shocking end for Dexter in season 4 would have consequences for Dexter himself and people would really start to get suspicious about Dexter, and ask why the trinity killer was seen with him before his wife was murdered.Īnd at the beginning of season 5 it really did change Dexter, and Quinn got kinda suspicius about Dexter and the trinity killer, but just after ONE episode they dropped the whole Dexter felling guilty about Ritas murder and blaming himself for people around him being hurt because of his actions. The same happend with season 4 and 5 aswell, Dexter fucked up in the end of season 4, he got seen in the police station with the trinity killer but apparently nobody remembered that at all in season 5. But in the end of the day the chose to have Lila kill Doakes and Dexter didn't have to make a difficult decision, and season 3 could continue like nothing ever happend in the end of season 2. I hated that Lila killed Doakes in the end of season two, the end of season two was so well done, with Dexters inner conflict about breaking the code to save himself by killing Doakes, or turning himself in to the police. But even in these seasons there is something off. I think season 1 and 2 are the two best seasons, followed by season 4. It's like the writers just had a reset button after every season and just chose to ignore major events that happend the seasons before and continue like normal. It almost felt like actions didn't have consequences in Dexter, especially in the later seasons. I just would like to tell you my opinion on what went wrong with Dexter. But I, as many other people was very disappointed about the whole ending, and not just the ending. As a group, they take no positions on issues or candidates they encourage understanding and discourage argument.I posted this in another Dexter thread ( )ĭexter has always been one of my favorite shows, and I was hooked right from episode 1 season 1.
